1 Hour later
After the conflict the surroundings had gone silent once more and in the middle of all this was two bodies, one young girl with bright green hair and a rather slim body layed alongside a young handsome boy, with long brown hair.
The first to awaken was the girl, which was still in slight shock from what had just happened to her.
Shooting up, she quickly looked at her surroundings and noticed that the boy who saved her was still lying on the floor not far from her. His body was covered in cuts and bruises.
Looking at him a sullen expressen appeared on her face as she said."I'm so sorry. I should have never let you get involved."
However as she said those words she noticed that the boy was beginning to open his eyes. As she rushed closer to make sure he was ok she suddenly froze.
The ringing in Druak's ears had finally calmed down.
Druak began to slowly raise his body up as his eye gradually opened, revealing a foggy silhouette. Not knowing what it was he reaches his hands out.
"What's this soft sensation."Druak mutters to himself.
Suddenly a loud shriek was heard, one that Druak recognized.
Finally managing to get his vision back, Druak was now able to see what the silhouette was. His eyes quickly widen as he realises what he had done.
Barely a second later a sharp pain was felt on his face, as it slowly grew redder and he felt his face become warmer from the blood rushing to it.
"I deserve that." Druak says as he rubs his hand against his face.
The rest of his face reddens even more as he began to stare at the girl before him, who had turned her back to him and was curled up in a ball.
Seeing this Druak tries to apologise, however as he does his words become muddled."Hi nice to meet you. Wait, I mean sorry for what I did. I hope you're ok."
Eventually managing to say what he wanted, everything went into an awkward silence. This lasted for quite a while. All they did was sit there awkwardly, faces completely red in embarrassment.
Just as Druak was about to get up he notices the girl also standing up.
Her face bright red, she looks Druak in the eyes, both staring into eachothers eyes. Then she turns away and softly says."Thank you for saving me." She then runs away out of Druaks sight, not giving him a chance to respond.
Once the girl had left Druak began slamming his fist against his head, saying."Im such an Idiot. Why'd I have to do that, and right after everything that just happened."
As Druak said those words he started hearing the sound of laughter. Turning around he sees Astra holding her stomach as she laughs so hard tears start to fall.
Seeing this Druak glares at Astra and grumbles."And what are you laughing at."
Astra simply looks at him, stops laughing for a second… then continues.
Druak had enough of this and walks off, not wanting to deal with Astra at the moment.
'I need to focus on getting stronger so something like this doesn't happen again.' Druak thought to himself.
Finding a new location Druak slowly sits down, crossing his legs. He then begins to circulate his mana, but unlike normal this time he does it in a completely different way. Noticing this Astra interrupts this process by yelling."What! How does a human know this technique."
Once again getting interrupted Druak opens his eyes and stops what he was doing, this time not as annoyed, as he asked curiously."What do you mean this technique. I created this myself."
Astra stares at Druak in bewilderment and says."That a rare technique only passed down to Dragon Lords and you're saying you just created this… Tell me, how did you make this."
'Wait a minute, that technique isn't the same as ours. It looks slightly different.' After hearing what Druak said Astra realised that this was in fact different from what she had originally thought.
Hearing Astra's question Druak thought.' I have to find an excuse, I can't tell her I researched this myself in my past life before I died.'
Druak paused for a moment then answered."When I was creating my mana core I also learned about this from researching and looking through books my mother collected. It allows me to see what I need to do to increase my stage in a class."
Astra looked at Druak, it seemed that she noticed he was lying but didn't want to press on the matter and simply said, rather annoyed."Ok… So you going to start already."
Druak looked at Astra and thought.'I'm sorry but until I find out what happened to me and can trust you I can't tell you anything about my past life.'
Druak then went back to circulating his mana, Astra observing everything he did.
The mana flowed through his body and as if from thin air information began to flow within his mind, slowly draining what little strength he had left after his last fight.
Wincing in pain Druak felt blood dripped from the wound on his waist. However he was almost finished with finding out what he needed and if he stopped he'd have to start all over again, possibly injuring himself in the process.
Noticing Druak's pain Astra approaches him and starts transferring a strange white mist towards Druak's body. Almost as if by a miracle Druak's wounds began to heal one after another, however it came at a cost. As Druak healed Astra grew more and more pale.
Finishing with the technique Druak opens his eyes in shock, realising what he would need to increase his stage. Trying to get his words out he says."I'm never going to get stronger at this rate."
Just as he says those words he hears a thud. Astra lay on the floor, barely visible to even Druak.
Rushing over Druak had yet to realise that all his pain had disappeared.
"Hey Astra, get up. Stop pretending." No matter what Druak said Astra didn't budge and Druak expression became more and more panicked.
Scanning Astra's body, Druak realised what was wrong with Astra. Her barely existent mana was basically completely drained. This was a massive problem as if Astra was a human she'd probably already be dead.
"Wait what. Why do you have Mana Drain. You shouldn't have used any mana y…" Druak finally realised, all his injuries were healed.
Druak hadn't realised how much mana he had used in that fight and how injured he actually was so when he kept using his technique he didnt realise how much damage it was actually doing and if not for Astra's intervention he would have probably died.
Trying to think of what he could do he began looking around where he had fought the kidnappers, hoping they had dropped something that could help as they probably had very valuable things.
Looking around Druak felt a surge of mana, nothing massive but it might just save Astra.
Before him was a weapon that the aura user kidnapper had used. It was a 2nd stage weapon and what made it even better was that it had a 1st stage mana beast core imbued within the metal.
Druak didn't waste any time. He quickly used his mana and made a ball of mana on his hand, this was an improved furnace, using the energy from his mana to melt the metal of the blade.
As the metal melted Druak perfectly controlled it, creating a ball of mana steel, the name for this type of metal.
Once all of it was melted he then began to separate the beast core from the metal, this was a very difficult process and took him almost an hour to complete.
Druak stared at the fading away Astra and said."You better fight this or I'll make you suffer." He then began flowing the beast core liquid within Astra's body.
Once all of it was inside of her body a flash of light surrounded Astra, blocking any vision of what had happened to her from Druak.
