Earl's indifference disturbed Amber to the point of disbelief. The man who had accused her of insulting him by having an extramarital affair acted calmly, even after catching her kissing Sean as if he was unaffected by it. Earl had always been a coward in front of her. He suddenly gained confidence, which Amber had noticed since last night. It astounded her and made her wonder what had caused him to change so drastically. Where did he get the courage to stand up to her?
She remembered Earl saving Yasmin. She became extremely jealous without any reason, assuming that Earl and Yasmin had something to do. Why else would Earl go looking for her rather than enjoy the party?
