Derrek came to meet with Caroline the next morning. He had not seen her ever since he had sent her to jail. His mind is filled with conflicting emotions. Part of him wanted to see her and find out how she was doing. The other part of him had repulsive feelings toward her. That part asked him to leave immediately. It was constantly reminding him of all her wrongdoings against the Wilsons.
Caroline was a horrible person. She ruined someone's marriage because of her materialistic nature. She was a self-centered individual who would not hesitate to harm others to benefit herself. She was unworthy of his attention.
These notions flooded Derrek's mind. A faint voice was still telling him that she gave birth to him, no matter how bad she was. Even if she had done many wrong things, she loved him.
Upon thinking like this, he remained seated on a stool, looking at the other side of the room through the glass partition wall. In addition, he needed some answers.
