Derrek was still sleeping when Grace and Julia arrived at the mansion.
Gerald was ecstatic to see them. He was surprised that they had come to check on him. He felt as if his family was complete. Furthermore, Nicholas' presence multiplied his joy.
Nicholas, on the other hand, was excited to come to a new place. He was also happy to know that he had relatives who cared about him, unlike those who often came to see Renee Granny. He liked Gerald and told him several things about his new toys and the activities he had participated in at school.
Gerald had not laughed like that in a long time. He enjoyed his company.
Grace was undoubtedly happy to see him smile, but the worry didn't go away from her heart. She wanted to know if Derrek was okay. She was unable to start a conversation regarding the recent incidents since Nicholas was around.
