Tina woke up and found herself in an unfamiliar room. She was, in fact, sleeping on a single bed. The room was small and unfurnished. The white walls gave her the impression that she was in a hospital.
She slowly sat up and groaned, her hand flying to the back of her head.
"Ah…" she wailed.
It was painful to touch. For a moment, she assumed Jeremy had brought her to a hiding place.
She then gradually remembered trying to escape the den, but the fire blocked her path. When she and her men ran toward the secret passage, several policemen opened fire on them. She had to run inside.
There was another hidden path in Jeremy's cabin that could lead her out. The fire had already spread to that side, yet she had somehow managed to enter the cabin. Just as she pressed a button under the worktable, someone hit her head from behind. Before she could turn around and see who had hit her, she passed out.
