"What is it? You are following me! Did Renee send you after me?"
Alexander smiled in response to her angry outburst. "I came on my own."
She snorted, displeased.
"Don't be angry. Let's go home." He held her wrist.
"I am not going with you." She walked over to her car, pulling her hand back.
Alexander grabbed her arm and drew her closer to him. "Don't force me. I can throw you over my shoulder and carry you to my car."
Julia froze when she remembered what happened at the banquet. She checked the front door to see if Declan was there.
There was no one there, but she assumed that anyone, servants or guards, could witness the scene and report Declan. It would be embarrassing. At the same time, it would raise questions in Declan's mind. It was best if they left before Declan became suspicious of them.
"I will come in my car," she murmured.
