Julia drove the car speedily, constantly wiping her tears. Her suspicion that Xander had compared her to his deceased wife had been confirmed. The simple word "Yes" had shattered her heart. The world she had built for herself crumbled.
She thought she would accept Alexander with all his flaws for the sake of Nicholas. What about her feelings? His actions and words still hurt her. Could she put her dissatisfaction with him aside and start her life with him?
Julia couldn't make a decision. She cried more and more, wishing she could talk to someone who could lead her in the right direction.
'Whom should I talk to?' she wondered.
Discussing this matter with her mother was out of the question. Grace had not fully recovered yet. She was still weak. Anything stressful could make her situation worse.
Julia couldn't give tension to Yasmin either. And Declan was too short-tempered to discuss this issue. He would probably go smack Xander straight away.
