"I have been thinking about how to apologize to you," Alexander said, stepping toward her. "This is what I figured."
"To… send me flowers!" She fought the urge to smile. Her dissatisfaction with him began to fade.
"You don't like it."
"No… This is not what I mean." She took a quick look at the flowers. "So many flowers! What am I going to do with them?" She felt sorry as she thought all of them would be wasted.
"I have an idea." He came even closer to her, his eyes gleaming.
Julia regarded him with suspicion.
He pulled out a red rose from the bouquet she was holding and brushed it on her cheek.
Julia shuddered and closed her eyes.
"We can use them on our bed," he murmured, leaning in closer to her. "Tonight."
