The salesman said something confidentially to the manager and ushered Earl inside the cabin.
The manager was not only Lionel's age but a close friend as well. He welcomed him with a friendly smile.
"Please, have a seat." He motioned for him to sit on a sofa across from the work table.
They took their places on the sofa.
"You work for Wilson and Co."
Earl nodded. "Yes. I have a proposition for you. Before we finalize anything, I would like to talk to Mr. Young. I tried to make an appointment with him, but he said he didn't have any dates available for the next few days."
"Yes, he is quite busy these days with his sick daughter."
"I see. Miss Young is not well!" Earl chuckled. "She looked quite good in the photographs, by the way."
