The doctor was momentarily at a loss for words. She was not expecting such a strong defiance from her side. She was not sure how effective the treatment would be. But there was a chance her condition would improve if she went through the treatment.
"There is a chance for improvement," she said.
"A chance! That means you are not sure." Yasmin cast her a cold look.
"It is not like that."
"I know, doctor, what you are trying to say," Yasmin said, not letting her speak further. "You are concerned about me. But I am not going to abort my baby, even if it means putting my life in danger."
The doctor was stunned after noticing her determination. She had to admit that this young lady was courageous. However, bravery cannot be displayed everywhere and in all circumstances.
"Where is your boyfriend? I'd like to speak with him."
