"Yeah. I am truly thankful to Mr. Griffin," Declan murmured over the phone, "He made things easier for me." Until a few days ago, he couldn't speak to his mother calmly. "Won't you come to see Dad, Mom?"
There were a few moments of silence on Grace's end. "I am willing. Will he want to meet me?"
Declan had no answer. He wanted Grace to tell Gerald about Julia. He lost courage when he realized it would have a negative impact on his father. He couldn't tell her confidently to visit him.
"I will talk to him first."
Knock-Knock…
He looked at the door. "Mom, I will talk to you later."
He hung up the phone and said, "Come in."
Amber walked in.
Declan looked at her with a frown, wondering if she had come to talk about work. Before he could ask her to sit down, she slammed her palms on the table and shot him a menacing look.
