The journey was quiet. Natasha was flustered while the two men appeared to be serious. She had several questions for him. Upon remembering how rudely she had behaved with him a few days ago, she couldn't bring herself to open her mouth.
The car quickly arrived at her apartment complex.
Natasha glanced at Earl. His silence made her distressed.
"Thank you for giving me a ride," she said hesitantly.
With a click, she opened the door and stepped out. She was disappointed when she didn't hear him say anything. She thought he would respond to her with "you are welcome" at the very least. Sadness gripped her core as she strode toward the building.
Thump…
She came to a halt at the sound of the door closing. She turned around and saw him approaching. Her heart began to beat faster.
'Is he going to say something?'
Earl held her wrist and walked into the apartment.
