Declan had been sitting in the interrogation room ever since the inspector had brought him to the police station. He refused to say anything until his attorney arrived.
However, the officer was also adamant. He was not allowing anybody to meet him and kept questioning him.
"You are wasting your time and mine," the officer said, his voice deep and serious. "You should accept the crime. We have these letters."
He showed him a few threat letters that they had collected from Angus' house. "These were all written by the private detective you hired. What is the need for you to appoint a detective to threaten him? What are you trying to do?"
"If you had done your job properly, I wouldn't have needed to hire a private detective," Declan let out a fierce grunt. "You are nothing but a puppet of Sean."
