Later that evening…
It didn't take long for Sean to learn who was behind the attack on Angus and Mack. When he found out about it, he became enraged. He slammed his fist on the table and furiously paced around the study.
"Jeremey," he muttered and ground his teeth.
He dialed his number. His breathing through the nose was audible as he waited for the call to log in, sitting back in his chair and drumming his fingertips on the table.
"Hello…" The call was answered after a long ring. "Sean, is everything all right?" Jeremey's always concerned voice could be heard on the phone.
"If you had not spoiled her in this way, I wouldn't have worried about her this much," Sean hissed, clasping the edge of the table.
There was a deep silence on the other end. Sean's anger intensified when he didn't hear from him. After making such a mistake, Jeremey was quiet.
