Gerald's sharp eyes narrowed slightly and then turned cold as he heard her words. He stiffened himself and stood at his full height, releasing his arrogant voice, "Yasmin is a member of the Wilson family and has no connections with you. Stop calling her your daughter-in-law."
He made it clear that she should not try to connect with the Wilsons.
Grace was not so naive as to not understand what he meant. She also retorted in an unyielding manner, "You cannot deny the reality. Yasmin is Declan's wife… my son's wife."
"Son?" Gerald scoffed. "He doesn't regard you as his mother. He despises you and doesn't want to see you."
"It is all because of you." She spat out those words angrily.
"Do you still blame me?" Gerald scowled in disbelief at her. "It was you who left him. He was upset with you for your actions and never wanted to see your face. I took the legal action only to keep my son from being hurt further."
