When Declan arrived at the office, everyone looked at him with interest. The receptionist, who always greeted him with a smile, didn't smile at him this time, instead staring at him strangely. The other employees were murmuring discreetly.
Declan ignored the curious glances as he walked over to the private elevator.
Francis came up to him and murmured, "Have you checked the news today?"
"What news are you referring to? Is there something special that I should know?" Declan sounded flippant and boarded the elevator.
Looking at his indifference, Francis believed Declan was not aware of the rumors.
"There are some rumors floating around on social media," he said, pressing the door close button, "about you and Yasmin's relationship."
Declan was silent. He had seen everything this morning, as well as several missed calls from Yasmin. He didn't call her back because he assumed she was calling to argue with him about the uproar.
