Prima thought, the only hope of getting a successor for the Hutomo family was Alvin alone, after Alvan died in a plane crash.
Prima hopes, by marrying Merry, Alvin can immediately plan a pregnancy for a male child, the next heir to the Hutomo family, without having to wait for Audia's postpartum period, if all of the children born to Audia are girls.
Having two wives is not wrong, as long as it can be fair in dividing the income. In Hutomo's own family, some have more than one wife. His grandfather Alvin even had two wives. And Prima is the son of his father's first wife.
"Promise me, Al. Daddy only asked for it before daddy died." Prima repeated his request.
Alvin was still silent.
"Daddy will bear all of Merry's living expenses. Al only needs to marry her and have a child from Merry," Prima offered.
"Including convincing Merry to agree with us. And persuading her to marry you, Al."
