"Where are we really going, Alvin?"
Audia, from the time they checked out of the hotel until they finally visited Merry's house, had not been informed by Alvin of the purpose of the rest of their day in England.
"Didi remember Emma Turner?"
"The ladies at the London Eye?"
"Yes, Lionel's mother."
"What about Lionel's mother?"
Alvin then explained, Emma invited them to her house for tea party, which is a British tradition to enjoy tea (afternoon tea).
Historically, afternoon tea was the custom of the British nobility in the 1800s. Enjoying tea like this was first introduced by Anna, one of the daughters of a noble with the title Duchess of Bedford.
"But it's not only two in the afternoon, is it, Alvin?"
As Audia know, various types of tea that are brewed are usually enjoyed at four in the afternoon. Comes with sandwiches, scones to cakes or other cakes.
