Merita and Neal blended in very quickly. Even though they couldn't leave the courtyard and venture outside, they weren't fools to not see that they were living in a forest.
Forests were deadly and after escaping death many times, Merita didn't want to die under the paws of some wild beast. Staying at home was the safest and although their meridians had been affected and could not cultivate at the moment, they were both great believers that their mother could do anything to get them on their feet again.
Alayna was also happy, she managed to get her children's identification documents after five days and this was much faster than if she went through the normal procedures.
Seeing the documents that proved that Neal and Merita were hers, she was very happy. What really concerned her the most was finding out about their meridians; she didn't want them to live the rest of their lives as wastes.
