The women naturally had to make their own breakfast, making do with some bread and jam. Similarly, they planned ahead, making sure to take as much food they could carry in their travels. They knew these two wouldn't care for them, and they had no choice but to think for themselves.
After placing his plate on the sink, Hugo looked at Khalifa and approached her, causing her to put up her guard.
He smiled gently in response. "Let's take a look at your truck shall we? I have a small garage we can do some basic repairs in."
At this, her tense shoulders slumped a bit, her guarded stare softening. "That'll be nice." And she smiled at him gratefully, making him stare at her for a few seconds longer than appropriate.
Together, the two walked towards this garage, with the three women rushing their food and following closely behind.
