Chapter 3 - Into a Book?

She could still remember the day she found this book.

The book was located in the Universe Library, where the stories of all protagonists of every generation in every world were kept.

It was a magical place.

Naturally, this was generally not open to the public and accessible only by special request.

As for why she had unlimited access, it was because the handsome monocled librarian was a lover.

It also helped that she was a well-known mage genius and a lot of the prohibited things she did could get a pass.

She just loved reading these books about different people, different worlds, different cultures.

Since she had discovered the place, she had almost always stayed for several hours at least.

Her long lifespan of a thousand years was not even a fraction consumed yet, but she was already bored of this world.

This was a world of elemental magic and...well, that's all.

There were barely even Monsters to practice on, unless you went straight to the mountains and went against those beasts on purpose...

It could be said that this world of Magic, Magia, was so stable that it got bland.

Even if they trained hard to fight since young in case of emergencies, there were barely any chances to apply them.

Of course, this was a good thing, which was why she happily settled for satisfying her cravings for adventure through books, rather than becoming a villain and causing chaos everywhere just because she was bored.

She definitely had the potential to do it.

In retrospect, it might be another reason why she had unlimited access to the library…

In any case, she had developed a yearning for the uniqueness of other worlds.

She yearned for adventures and innovations. And she yearned for an exciting life more than just magic.

She stayed the whole afternoon to finish a book about a man in something called a cultivation world.

He had his harem who he would grow up with and enjoyed as he powers up. The weak-to-strong story got to her and it was very fun to read.

She stood up and searched amongst the bookshelves for her next book. This time she went to survival stories, because she suddenly felt like she needed the thrill.

Her dainty hands traced across the titles. There were all sorts of titles like 'The Monsters Appear', 'Gates of Hell Opens', 'Thrown to an Alien Beast World', 'Surviving the Apocalypse', 'Plants and Zombies', among others.

Amongst hundreds of titles though, her eyes were attracted to a bright blue-grey book just below her eye level.

It had similar color to her hair and eyes, so it was particularly curious to her as apocalyptic and survival stories had darker covers.

However, just as she was about to approach it, she felt strong arms wrap around her flat stomach, pulling her back.

She then felt someone pushing away the hair from her neck, followed by hot, wet, kisses tracing the side of her neck.

The warmth crept up to her ears, a sensitive spot of hers, and the person's warm breath hovered.

"Hmm…"

Her hand moved to the side of the man's face, encouraging. He started licking her ear and her breath hitched when he sucked her neck.

"T-Theo." She called out, turning her head to the handsome redheaded bespectacled librarian whose first time she took, herself. "Are you already done with work?"

The man was leaning down, hovering above her. At her question, he nodded passively, eyes staying on her lips. She chuckled and turned her body so her lips could meet his.

Theodore gladly met her kiss and put out his tongue for ease of entry. He tasted her tongue and the bottom of her mouth, sucking.

The slurping sounds of their kisses reverberated across the empty halls, increasing its temperature.

Not enough, he carried her to the wide sofa near them. He let her sit on his thigh, before

he dipped down his head to taste her neck again, his hot breath spreading across her entire body.

As he sampled her skin, she could hear him mumble. "You really liked what you were reading."

She could hear a pout in his voice.

She chuckled, amused. Did she ignore him for too long?

"Aww, I'm sorry." Her velvety voice entered his ears and to his spine. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, letting him feel her curves.

"How do I make it up to you?" she smiled, her beautiful eyes staring at him, ready to cater to his request.

The sight got him hot but he didn't jump on her. There would be people coming in soon, after all.

Instead, he only kissed the side of her face with a smile. "I'll definitely take you up on that offer later."

"Oh." She said and nodded, letting her head rest on his shoulders.

As she lay comfortably against his chest, she looked at the massive bookshelves several stories high. "So all these stories had happened in our and other worlds?"

"Not necessarily. Many of them hasn't happened yet."

"Oh?" She mused, very interested. "They are like destiny books, then?"

"Hmn..."

She looked around in interest. "Did you know... there's a mention in the book just now, about the existence of parallel universes." She said, "And how there are versions of us out there..."

"Hmmm." he nodded. "But not in all of them. There can only be two at a time, like mirrors."

She nodded cutely, evidently very interested, but instead of telling her more, Theo couldn't help but kiss her again.

Inevitably, the kisses turned deeper and she was pushed down the sofa, with Theo kissing the side of her face south to her neck and collarbones.

She hummed and massaged his head as he caressed her, her head arching against the arm rest.

Interestingly, she opened her eyes at this moment and the first thing she saw was a book in the bookshelf behind her.

It was that curious blue-silver book that had attracted her attention.

There were indeed plenty of books in that bookshelf, but this book and its a bright cover kept her eyes and curiosity.

Despite all the distractions, she managed to read its title.

'Love Triangle in the Apocalypse' it said.

At the time, her mind was all on the warm wet tongue tracing her skin so, she just thought in passing: 'what a weird title'.

Fortunately, she actually read the book in the end or else she'd feel so much regret right now!
