After much consideration, the group decided to leave Jacob behind for his own safety.
"Will you be alright?" Khalifa asked Jacob, her eyebrows furrowed in worry. The door had opened and he was about to go down, but Khalifa couldn't bear to just let him leave like this.
He smiled and kissed her.
"I'll wait in one of the houses in Soldier town," he said. He could live among zombies anyway.
"What about your food?"
Jacob paused, "I can go around town no problem. Don't worry—
She manifested slabs of raw meat, making the men blink.
"I'll come see you every day, okay?" She mumbled, very gentle and sorry for him.
It made the men around very envious, to the point a part of them wanted to stay outside too.
Jacob's eyes warmed as he looked at her. He leaned down to give her a deep kiss again, but deeper this time, expressing his reluctance, before he finally went down to the hordes of zombies.
