The next day the ignored universal phone—which Hugo secretly put on silent since the last time he called—vibrated crazily again.
He carefully hovered over Khalifa's adorable sleeping self to get the phone, answering it.
"Khalifa? Thank goodness you answ—"
"It's me."
"Hugo!" Kaize yelled, and Hugo's eyes twitched as he scratched his poor ears.
"I didn't know you were a shrew."
"Where's Khalifa?"
He lazily placed a hand behind his head, lounging on the bed, eyes on the beautiful woman beside him with a warm smile.
He couldn't help but slide the hand on his back to her back and she cutely buried her head in his embrace. He chuckled.
"She's sleeping. Don't bother her."
Heavy breathing could be heard on the other side. That guy was definitely trying to calm himself down.
