Chapter 2 - GODS?!

Two years passed, and a few weeks into the yang year, a celebration where all women at the beginning of the year wear black and burned white clothes.

I was called into my mother... in law? Shure, I was called into the throne room; it was an unpleasant feeling when I was walking in the throne room. I saw rose trying to reach for me when I got close enough to where my mother was sitting. I bowel on one of my knees, not caring about Rose. "did you call mother?" I said, racing my head to look at the queen of the yang empire.

"yes, Alec... how is my baby boy doing. I wobe you." that... that.... *sigh* that is my mother in law. I don't understand her. She says that she loves me, but then her training is hell.

"I'm, ahem... I'm okay, mother, thanks for asking." I said, looking at the ground.

"that is great, baby, well down to business, your sisters will start high school in about two weeks, and I want you to accompany them in their studies," she said, looking at my two sisters-in-law.

"I, I'm sorry, I don't see why this is a good idea, and I'm 14. I can't go to high school just yet." I also looked at my sisters-in-law; they had a nasty look on their faces; the both of them were pretty young girls, twins to be precise, with nice bodies and blond hair similar to their mother; compared to me, they were small. I was 14, and I was 5'11" feet tall, and they were 5'5" feet tall; I had black hair, and I was going to look out of place. I was the black sheep of the family... anyways, I had an abnormal stature for a 14-year-old.

"it's an amassing idea, you protect your sisters, and you get to attend school. You get to have a normal high school life," she said. At that moment, I didn't know if she was being serious or she was bluffing.

"uhh... with all due respect, my quee-" she stops me.

"mother."

I sight, "with all due respect, mother, even if I wanted to have a regular high school life, it is impossible; I'm a man In the territory where women treat us like animals," I said, trying not to make her mad.

"oh, so you defy your mother alec?" I looked at her as she said that.

"no, I'm not; I'm sorry, mother, I will accept your mission," I said calmly, tilting my head to face the ground.

"Good, now, come here and give mommy a kiss." I got closer to her and hugged her, gently kissing her forehead.

everyone panicked when they saw me hug the queen,

Two minutes later, I let her hold my chin and gently stroke my cheek. "that's a good boy; you are dismissed."

"thank you, mother," I said and exited the throne room and saw the woman that gave me swordsmanship classes.

"mister de lafe, your training for the evening will start now." the woman with glasses, raven hair, and tall was looking at me judgmentally. She didn't like me.

"ah, miss de Mago, of course, I'll be there; I just need my sword," I said, remembering that my sword was in my room. It was a standard broad sword.

"not necessary; you will gain a mystical weapon today." miss de mago said.

"Sorry, a what?" I looked at her and blinked three times.

"a mystical weapon, known to have the essence of the gods that once ruled this world," she said with no doubt in her words... ARE YOU TALKING CRAZY WOMAN?! GODS? WHAT?

"I'm sorry... gods?" I said once more.

She sight, "yes, child gods. Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca, we're the two main gods they created the mystical weapons and created the very ground we are stepping on." she said with no doubt in her voice.

"you are serious. Gods? well, I'm flabbergasted." I said, letting my shoulders and my posture drop.

"Alright, now fix that posture and follow me." I follow her down the castle throw a set of stairs that led to the deepest and darkest parts of the ground.

"How big do you think the gods were?" the woman said, stopping in a massive window,

"well, if legends are true, they must be massive," I said, stopping a second after she stopped.

"you are correct" lights started to turn on, reviling a massive cavern, and as I looked, there was a giant skeleton of a giant serpent with strong winds and light coming out of every craves of the bones "that is Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. And on the ying side of the world, Tezcatlipoca the Smoking Mirror lies dead, only remains of powerful gods. look towards the head."

I moved my head and saw many weapons engraved on the rock. From the beginning, one coughs my eye. "let's go," miss de Mago said, grabbing my shoulder.

We moved down in an elevator. As we descended, it felt warm, and the winds in the cave were calm; as the elevator opened its doors, the smell of roses and other flowers invaded my nose.

We got close to the weapons. I was looking at the same sword. It was a sword with a handle with feathers of red, gold, and green, and on the blade, there was a serpent carved; from the edge where the sword meets the handle was the tale of the snake, to the other edge where the serpent disappears in the ground assuming it was where the head was.

"This..." I said, getting close to the sword. It was weird. "this sword is-"

"a katana used by Quetzalcoatl itself, not even Tezcatlipoca itself could move this sword. Maybe let's try something else," she said, tapping my shoulder.

"no. I feel like this sword talks to me." I said, looking at the three feathers that were held by a piece of string to the handle.

"I recommend you any other weapon because when you decide, the sword will never let you use any other weapon." lady de mago said.

"like a jealous girlfriend?" I said, looking at lady De mago with a smirk.

"aham, yes, you can say that," she said, clearing her throat.

"well, then this one will do," I said confidently.

"Okay, then grab it," she said, and I looked at it.

I reached for it, and when I grabbed it, spikes came from the handle that pierced my hand; I flenched a bit; I felt like the sword was draining my blood.

"pull alec!" De mago said.

I started to pull the sword out of the rock slowly, but I felt that I would faint; I let out a groan of pain, thinking it would be better if I let go.

"Remember, son, pain is normal; the question is would you embrace the pain and become stronger? or coward in fear for said pain?" I smile, remembering what my father said once.

I groan and yell at the top of my lungs and pull the sword with enough force to pop a blood basil and pull the sword out. "you already know me, dad," I chuckle as I fall unconscious.

"bravo, truly magnificent, you manage to pull my sword out, the sword is now yours is not the sword of the feathered snake anymore, no, no, she has decided to fulfill her duty, the mission will be set for you child, kill your brothers and sisters... Huitzilopochtli." I remember the dream of a giant serpent with feathers.
