THE SUN WAS A FEW DEGREES UP when Marsil awoke the next morning. He soon discovered it was few hours into the day; the latest possible time he had ever awakened. Normally, he was up before sunrise but today, it seemed the sunrise was up before him. The Vampire Prince chalked it down to the serene atmosphere of the Moor and it's refreshing spring climate.
How else would he have slept so soundly...
Back at the Ivory Castle, the bustling noise from the City of Calipsos didn't end until near midnight and when he could finally catch some sleep, only few hours passed before the castle servants began tinkering with their duties for the day.
It didn't help that only some minutes later, the loud tolling of the Temple's bell sounded. With his supernatural hearing, it was impossible for Marsil to sleep through such confusion.
