Chereads / I Got Reincarnated into The Ocean God Protector of Atlantis / Chapter 6 - Episode 3: The Ocean festival

Chapter 6 - Episode 3: The Ocean festival

I was being transported through what seemed to be space and time. I felt like I was in Star Wars being launched into hyperspeed. I could put my hands through the stardust as it shimmered. The colors were pink, orange, and red, with white specs that added a beautiful accent to the colors.

My body also began to dis morph and re morph into different shapes and sizes. My stomach felt sick although my body had lost its physical form. Then I saw a light, that shined below me. Was this the place I'm supposed to be? Before falling through the hole of light, the same silent voice had come to me from before.

"Blessed are you, Oh Ocean God. The One Above All favors you in his heart. Therefore may you be blessed with ears to hear the animals and peoples of the sea. May you be blessed with the eyes that can see into the darkest of depths. May you be blessed with the voice to command the waters of Endor and the creatures within them. Maybe you are blessed with the might to tame the mightiest of storms. Blessed are you, Oh Ocean God. May your pupils listen and follow well. May your comrades find strength in times of weakness. May your enemies be crushed under the heels of your feet.

Oh Ocean God, listen well The One above all favors you in his heart. Go forth and set ablaze, bask in the pools of his creation."

Woosh!

Suddenly I was underwater, I held my breath as a huge gust of pressure launched me closer and closer toward the surface.

Splash!

I was launched 10 feet into the air, and while cascading in mid-air I was greeted by cheering coming from the shore nearby. I had fallen back into the water and began to swim to land. I noticed that my body had felt different, I felt heavier in the water, and my muscles began to fatigue quicker than normal. My hand and feet had also changed slightly, they had become webbed like a frog. It made it a lot easier to swim with this heavy body tho. As I began to tread closer and closer to the shore, the louder the cheering and shouting had gotten.

"He has finally come!" I heard someone shout.

"The savior we have been waiting for!" Another had shouted.

We're these people referring to me? I had finally reached the shallow waters only to be embraced by all the people who stood at the shore, there had to be at least 100 or so people. For the most part, the people looked human, although they were very large. I was a pretty tall guy standing at 6 foot 2 inches. But they stood 6 foot 6 inches and above. I was the smallest amongst them. The people had grabbed me up and put me above their heads carrying me. Many people were celebrating, drums, shakers, and musical chants had filled the air. The atmosphere instantly brought a smile to my face, and I laughed out loud. Then everyone had gone silent, turned their heads, and looked at me. I got nervous and scared, was I not supposed to laugh? Did I offend anyone? These thoughts clouded my mind as I began to blush. Then an older woman in the crowd had begun to make her way toward me and the people who had been holding me in the air. She slowly walked through everyone, parting them like Moses did the Red Sea. The older woman then introduced herself to me.

"My name is Mother Aria. I am one of the leaders of a small sect of villages here on the west coast of Atlantis. It is nice to meet you."

I could understand the woman's speech, although the words had seemed foreign, it was clear as day in my head hearing it.

"It is a pleasure to meet you miss," I had replied kindly bowing my head.

"What is your name, and are you the answer to our prayers?"

What could the woman be talking about? I thought to myself. Prayers, we're they expecting me to come to my arrival? A lot of questions had come to mind but now didn't seem like the best time to figure out all that stuff.

"My name is Nen Kano and I am the Ocean God, Protector of Atlantis."

The moment I said those words everyone in the crowd cheered and the music and joyful bliss atmosphere returned. The woman had then smiled and had shed a tear of joy. She had told me that her people had been waiting a long time for the Ocean God to return and save them. She had said that a war would be coming to take over their land. She then invited me to stay with her and her people, for however long I'd like. I accept her proposal and we set off. The people took me not too far from the coast about a 30-minute walk or so. In the crowd, a little boy had walked up next to me and told me that it was the Ocean festival today. Also that there would be a massive amount of food and drink for when we return.

I could always use some food, it's one of the many things I would enjoy in my previous life. I wonder what kinds of food they had here on this planet.

Once we arrived we were greeted by an older man named Norman. Norman was another sect leader. He and others had brought us to the dining hall, where everyone ate together as a community. The hall was massive as it had three large long rectangle tables inside with a blue and green table cloth. Everyone else who had not gone to the shore was here in the hall, eating and dining. There was a vast amount of food here. Each of the tables had a certain kind of food on them.

The table on my left had only fruits and vegetables. They were vibrant in color and had weird and odd shapes.

The table in the middle had all kinds of meats and games. The aroma that came from the meat was mouth-watering. The meats looked very similar to pigs, cows, and chickens, although the seafood is the strangest.

The table to my right had all kinds of alcohol and drinks. Many people sat near this table, for obvious reasons.

I thought it was funny how I could be on a different planet, yet still, experience human-like behavior. Incredible. Mother aria had brought me around the tables of food and drink, trying not to draw too much attention. After getting a double-stack plate of all the food I could put my hands on she brought me to a small room upstairs in the dining hall.

The room was small just enough for a small group to fit inside. Mother Aria had sat down on the orange carpet that sat along the dark brown wood floor. She asked me to join her and eat, she had a few questions to ask me. I followed her words and sat next to her stuffing my face with food.

"Nen Kano, are you really who you say you are? Can you really protect this continent?"

"I really am Nen Kano, Ocean God, Protector of Atlantis but, I suppose I'm not the Ocean God as of yet. You see before I came to Endor, this woman I met had told me that becoming Ocean God would be my purpose if I choose to act upon it. But on the other hand, I do want to live a wonderful life and have a family. But what kind of outside threat could there be, if you guys have to wait for a God to save you?"

I could tell that my words weren't the ones she was seeking, in fact, they were the complete opposite of what she wanted, by the expression on her face.

"There is an old legend that describes a dark evil that would soon fall over the globe and destroy everything, but out of the depths of the waters, The Ocean God would return and defeat the evil."

The story Aria told sounded like the folklore of some sort but you could tell she believed in that shit wholeheartedly. She had told me that tomorrow morning we would leave to go see the leaders of the west coast sects and discuss matters further.

We then headed back downstairs to where the party had been. I danced and sang, drank and ate until dawn.
