Chapter 1 - Prologue

"Back then, I was a total baddie. I was born in a squatter area. Everything is rusty and disconsolate. People like my parents work in a dumping site searching for things that can be reused or sold in exchange for inadequate money. "

On March 13th, 2000, Jae Dawn was born. Her parents were ordinary people with no high-education background. They live in a squatter area that was beside a dumping site where they look for things that are still usable and stuff that can be sold. They usually get paid $30 for their efforts.Their house was made of thin rusty steel with a rattan bamboo floor. His father worked at the construction site before and got into an accident that led them to use the money allotted for baby Jae. They have to fit everything in for the growing baby Jae on a weekly budget of $50.Even with a tight budget, Jae grew up healthy because their everyday food was vegetables, eggs, and milk. Jae was very energetic, clever, and a helpful kid. She helps her parents by fixing the plates and sweeping the floor. She likes to draw, mostly plants. When her parents come home from work, she likes to make funny movements while dancing to swipe off her parents' tiredness.

"I was getting older, so they had to strive harder to provide for my needs. Then one time, I just saw them lend me to a couple in exchange for a pile of money. It was the last time I saw them. I never had to say goodbye. I was four at the time. "

Jae was sold to a couple in exchange for thousands of dollars. Her mother borrowed $15,000 for the hospitalization of her father. The debt grew and it cost them triple the original price. Her parents were threatened if they did not pay the debt immediately. The collectors proposed giving Jae as their payment instead, but the parents knew her life would be miserable if they gave Jae to them. There was a time when the collectors attempted to kidnap Jae when the parents did not agree. It was then that they decided to sell Jae to anyone except for those collectors who they knew were bad and toxic. They sold her to someone who they thought would give Jae a better life and for her safety as well.

"Anyway, I thought I'd be lucky because I was given a chance to live a new life outside of the squatter area. But I was wrong. I was sold to a criminal couple. Yes, they are criminals! Of course, they raised me not as their child. Instead, they raised me as an instrument, an instrument for crime. "

Jae was sold to a couple who worked as thieves and kidnappers. At the age of four, she suffered from severe sadness after being apart from her biological parents. The love she wanted to have from her foster parents was never seen. She was always alone in the locked house while the foster parents were doing their crime jobs outside. At the age of five, she was sent to pre-school with the name Jae Michaels. She was clever, active and an achiever at school, but her foster parents seemed not to care.

"At the age of nine, I was taught how to steal wallets from people in the streets. I was never that skillful. I sometimes get caught stealing, but have never been captured. I was a runner. I am best at escaping. "

At an early age, Jae and her friend Dean were forced to steal people's wallets while they are walking by. They use small scarves to cover their faces while stealing. Dean was trained well and was always successful in stealing, while Jae was always caught. Luckily, she was good at escaping and was never captured. When they successfully stole a wallet, Dean and Jae secretly get a small amount of money to treat themselves with by buying ice cream for themselves. And they would go to their favorite park to play, because it's the only place where they can be kids. At the secret lair, they were subjected to discipline as grown men.

"In my teenage years, I was forced to join my foster parents in kidnapping for ransom money. I never thought that you could get tons of money on just a simple mission. My foster parents were part of a group called "Black Organization". Here they operate as a crime den, or let's say, according to Merriam Dictionary, "a den is a home for some kinds of wild animals." Well, I do agree. I mean, they are criminals. "

The Black Organization was founded by the most notorious criminal in the country, Ted Mandy. In the late 1970's, he was famous for kidnapping men and women for ransom money. As the generation advances,It is harder to kidnap these days since surveillance cameras are around. Ted organized a group wherein the kidnapping mission would be planned and carried out by a group. He settled in an abandoned building in the North Moorgan Valley with a budget of 500,000 dollars, which he earned from kidnapping. He bought boxing equipment and self-defense equipment to start off. To get an alliance, he encourages beggars and homeless people to come to his renovated house and be part of his organization. Ted was so friendly that he easily encouraged them.

"You won't be begging for food anymore. Those people and the government don't care about you! They see you as trash! No use! Just trash! If you come with me, you'll never experience being played by those teenage swine and those bully kids. You'll never be called dirty again. You'll never eat trash food ever again. Only if you come and be part of my organization. " With the use of these encouraging words, Ted also got them in the organization.

With a starting alliance number of 9, he then trained them in self-defense. Punching, kicking, lifting, and escaping. He believes strength is power. He gave them food and shelter to live the life he promised. It has been demonstrated that life in the black organization is superior than the life on the streets.

"One time, I was sent alone on a quest to test my dedication and commitment. I was assigned to kidnap a wealthy individual and demand a ransom payment from her family in exchange for her life.As easily as that, people get manipulated just for the safety of others. Money is easy, but life is at risk. I was introduced to the organization and was named "Black Mist" after the successful kidnapping. I am quite clever, really, I am. Of course, they will celebrate my triumph and give me money. Oh wait, they did not! Instead, they sent me on more and more difficult missions! I always come home successful. I was given the position of managing a group. Train them, educate them, and lead them to success. We are glorious! As always. I have no choice but to do it. My foster parents put me under a lot of pressure. I never wanted to be like them. I was coercively in captivity. I'm a prisoner. Until one day, the police busted our secret lair. They exchanged gunshots that led to injuries and death. I saw my foster parents die. I did not fight for them; instead, I escaped. I knew that one day I'd be free from this pity world and this is just the beginning. "
