Chapter 136 - Stubborn Man

He returned to the carriage and took out a few things from the long chest that separated the front seats and the room inside the carriage, a few pieces of yams and dried fish.

Abhimanyu roasted dried fish and yams in a bonfire he had lit earlier. As his wife and children came up to him with their faces looking fresh, he smiled with joy.

Well, a little bit like that allowed the king to forget for a moment all the things that were giving him a headache.

They sat around the bonfire. Even though it's the middle of the day, the air temperature feels very cool, maybe because it's surrounded by shady forests.

"Here," Abhimanyu shared roasted yams and grilled dried fish with his wife and children. "Careful, it's still hot."

Even though the food was very, very simple for a king and his family, they ate it happily. Not to be seen among them who neither pleased nor disliked, not at all. They enjoyed the meal together.
