That morning, Maitreya worked hard to save Lathifa's life. After he found some types of medicinal plants, then crushed the plants until they became a kind of dark green paste, then the herbal paste was applied to Lathifa's thigh, right where the poisonous snake bite was.
Maitreya wiped the sweat from his forehead, his hands were covered in herbal paste, then he wrapped Lathifa's thighs with a piece of cloth so that the paste that stuck to her thighs would not come off.
He also made a drink from other types of medicinal plants, then drank the liquid to Lathifa.
"Oh, the Great Gods… how could I be careless like this?" Maitreya looked at the unconscious Lathifa with guilty.
At least, Maitreya felt that he had failed with the task that Abhimanyu had given him to be able to keep the princess safe. And now, the princess is struggling to survive the snake venom in her body.
