One by one, those who were on top of the gate wall fell. If they weren't snatched by the Auls, then they would have been snatched by the Ahools.
Limana valiantly led his comrades to put up a fight against the monstrous creatures.
"Don't be afraid!" Limana shouted as he shot his arrow.
And the arrow managed to bring down an Ahool who was carrying a soldier flying. The two of them thudded to the ground. The fallen soldier swiftly drew his sword, then stabbed the creature in the chest.
But the number of werewolves and gargoyle-like creatures was increasing, and of course, this overwhelmed Limana and the soldiers.
Many of the soldiers died horribly. Some died with their heads crushed by the clutches of the Ahool's claws or in the deadly jaws of the Auls, others died with their bodies dismembered.
The scenery at the eastern gate changed from pleasant to gruesome and at the same time, made the stomach churn with nausea.
