Synopsis
Corpses filled the Valley of Death, as a man bearing a broken blade and a heavily wounded magical beast faced each other, both close to the doors of death. The man turned his gaze to his surroundings, his eyes burning with every one of his dead brethrens coming in sight. He held his blade tight looking upon the wounded beast once more, looking over it's body he thanked the fallen efforts against the beast. He then looked upon himself, not any better than the beast, his right arm dislocated, legs shaking for balance and blood oozing from his chest, his body functioning solely by his sheer will. He took a step toward the beast, turning the steps into a run, and the run into a charge, and finally the charge into an attack, piercing his blade into the beasts chest, cutting down to it's abdominals before letting go. And in one last attempt before it's death, the beast struck the man, ripping out his dislocated arm swiftly before it entered the land of the dead. The man didn't really mind it, cause it was already dislocated, getting rid of it was a great burden off his shoulders although it still hurt. The man then stared down the dead beast, taking a look on the killing machine that murdered thousands of humans. He thanked the gods for his success but mourned as he knew the great sacrifices needed only to kill one of them. That was untill he noticed a shining blue light, beaming from the wound he open in the beasts the chest. Wiping his tears he looked closer, his eyes finally collecting the image; an orb. He reached to it out of curiosity, and the the moment he touched it, the orb broke into blue smoke entering and recollecting itself within his body, making him the first human to gain magic, changing the tides of war for the Humans forever.

A sense of thankfulness grew within Kona's heart as he read the last lines of the book. It was because of this man that he and many humans are still alive in the land of Ionia. Kona let out words of gratitude before putting the book back on his shelf.

"You were the first Beast knight, and today I too will become one" Kona said to himself.

Today was a big day for the green haired child, as he reached the threshold of 13 years old, allowing him to participate in the magical beast hunting and obtain a beast orb of his own. He was excited, wearing his favourite no sleeves leather jacket and shorts, and throwing his bag over his neck. He chose to not waste time heading through the door so he got out of his rooms window, and raced his way towards the town's hall where the beast knights should arrive.
