Alora smiled in her sleep as she recalled all the memories impossible for any other normal kid to remember.
As though recalling something from the present, Alora gasped awake, "Grandmother!?" but fell back on the bed by the strong grip on her hand. Her cheeks colored instantly looking at Arihan up and close. They were supposed to grow up together. He was supposed to protect her while she planned to experiment with her powers and learn more about them.
Fate had different plans. Now, they were different people.
The sound of hurried footsteps distracted Alora from Arihan and she saw Freya sprint inside and breathe in relief seeing her awake. But Alora's eyes widened in disbelief and muttered under her breath, "Why is he such a distraction?"
Freya: "..."
Alora struggled to release Arihan's grip as she hurriedly commanded Freya, "Freya, you need to get to the palace right away. Distract everyone and get me some time with Grandmother. Alone."
