Chapter 35 - A chill

Xaloc yawned as he came down the staircase.

"Good morning, Mr Night. What would you be having for breakfast today?" The waiter greeted him.

Polite and distant. She was Xaloc's favourite waiter in this rest house.

Yes, rest house. Athens could be said to be similar to most capitals of big countries, the first large hotel he had entered had changed one gold per night excluding feeding. 

The second one was even more expensive with a five-time increase of five gold, although it included feeding and some other secret services. , the receptionist had winked at him. Five gold and yet this was not the most expensive place in the city. It was fairly average.

Even though Xaloc knew he had a better chance of finding a cheaper place at Govoner, the so-called slums of the city. The security there would be lacking and with so many strange abilities, it would not be surprising if some could smell money.
