A cold palm covered his eyes and Xaloc's voice came from behind him, "Stop, don't read anymore."
Jamal's lashes were long and wet, tickling Xaloc's palm, "Don't read anymore." Xaloc repeated.
After the meeting, he searched for Jamal and there was no trace of him in Atlantis so he had gone to Valhalla, somehow it ended up with him watching and shadowing Jamal.
When he had heard the old man's words and understood that Jamal had sent someone to investigate what had happened, he was not angry. It would be hypocritical for him to do so, considering that half of the servants in this courtyard are Sanya's spies.
But he was not happy either. He was the type to cover all his wounds, showing the best side to everyone and Jamal reading about him when he was at his lowest made him feel naked. He also knew that it would make Jamal sad and blame himself and he did not want that.
