Chapter 158 - Not Worthy

Jamal used all the courage he could muster as he faced the blood-soaked figure.

"Don't kill him. Xaloc, if you want to kill your grandfather today, then you would have to kill me too." Jamal's voice was deep as he struggled to repress his emotions.

The smile on Xaloc's face vanished and his tone carried danger, "Did you really think that I would care to be sentimental and that I wouldn't dare to kill you?"

Jamal did not reply but his eyes said everything he wanted to say. He did not move as the sword came closer to his chest.

The sword was so close that he inadvertently closed his eyes. Jamal was a coward, but at this moment he felt that if his death could save Xaloc from the ending of the villain, it was not bad. He would be brave today because he loved him.

But the pain of the sword never came. He opened his eyes and Xaloc was gone.
