Xaloc continued to walk forward as he ignored the gazes that swept through him as the noise in front of him became hotter and the scent that filled his nose came closer and closer. The city bustled even more than the first day that he came to the fifth outskirt.
He looked at Sonia and asked, "Did something happen last week?"
Sonia nodded as she said carefully, "Three days ago, the town of Hamen was assaulted by the apostles of the Church of the Death. They..." Sonia wanted to mention how cruel they had been doing the overtaking but she remembered that this man might just be one of them so she skipped the sentence, "Many people escaped and journeyed here to take refuge."
Xaloc looked at the small stalls that were hastily crafted as people lined up to sell their treasure while others rushed to buy it. He did not say a word, just moving to where the stench of hatred was the thickest.
