Chapter 11 - Unleashed monster [2]

Inside the colosseum

[System: The one who sees catastrophe has enveloped the Colosseum in a closed space!

Status: The player and the monsters cannot escape, within this space, time is irrelevant you'll be sent back to the exact time it was set

Alert: The one who sees catastrophe has initiated a private broadcasting only invited deities are allowed to enter]

"Hey you never told me there's gonna be another broadcasting," Christoper kept running in the opposite direction after the monsters broke free from their cage

"Graaaah!!!" Fueled by the mysterious gas these beasts' attempts to relieve their rage made them seek food whereas Christopher was a worthy candidate

[What part of it being a 'Private' broadcasting, don't you understand? No deity can just enter the stream. Only someone the deity personally invites even someone with a higher authority can't break this rule]

'Another thing to remember, damn it why am I learning a ton of things even though I'm the author? I think Jin was right I'm making a lot of untold things in my book and now it's biting my ass. I can't believe it's this serious that I don't even know jack shit about the smallest details,'

[System: The private broadcasting has been set invited deities have now entered

Invited deities: The monk that dispels evil is watching you, The bringer of salvation is watching you, The one who seeks true justice is watching you, The Huntress of the night is watching you

Outcome: The gods have their eyes on you the mysterious masked player they once saw in a previous broadcasting]

'Shit a lot of them showed up. I don't know what kind of Deity the requester is but I have a hunch it's connected to the eye. The lights are getting brighter. I'm lucky that amongst the path I took, I've found an exit. I need to make this count, I might get something good out of this, let's make sure they won't send anyone else but me,'

Once he got closer he saw the path ahead full of light teasing for an exit that was revealed to be blocked by an iron bar. Unable to turn around he stopped near the bars awaiting the monsters to get closer to his location, and once they did he activated Haste. He throws the mysterious person he carried in a hurry to escape and it catches the monster's attention

"This will do," He ran as fast as he could while he threw the person to the monster building enough momentum to jump at the iron bars

"Graaaagh! Kieeeek!!!" The monsters that sought out his flesh had their faces colliding through the bars

The momentum he acquired allowed him to jump from corner to corner catching the unconscious person. The monsters yet to recover from the impact slowly rise whilst the two safely land but not before activating his array. The rocks around them were manipulated to his command the stones rose from their spots and heeded his command

"Geo cocoon," He conjoined his hands, and the stone formed two hands it locked the monsters in place and formed a cocoon

They squirmed and with their all struggled to escape but the slow and faint footstep sealed their fate. "Amplification; Ignite!!!"

"Molten palm!" The excess mana paired with the enclosed space allowed his spell to burn them alive flesh and all as they did nothing but wail

[Was it necessary to come up with that attack's name and yell it out like a child?]

"Fuck off Sage! You don't know how cool it is to do that. That moment was like straight out of a novel or maybe an anime,"

[System: You've killed a monster the collected experience will now be given to the player

Alert: Although the monsters were considered lower level their stats were indifferent

Outcome: A large amount of experience has been granted due to the mysterious stat increase of the monsters]

"That was only a few of them yet their strength got enhanced to this extent?"

[No wonder they became a catastrophe, there are only a few LVL 20+ that reside in this city. Half of the high-level players are busy fighting for territory and recruiting newcomers. If you weren't here then it could've been a catastrophe]

"You're something of this scale means I'll get an awesome reward?" Morris cheerfully said and his eyes glimmered in delight and his greed leaked out for the deities present to see

[Are you serious right now? You almost died and a buttload of reward is what's on your mind? That was unexpected]

"Oh shut up! With this, I can get something that can make my survival certain! Oh great deity please prepare a good reward," The deities present went silent after his personality shifted from a silent killer to a raging beggar in need of money

[System: The deities donated 900 tokens after seeing how desperate the reaction of the young player]

'What the hell? They think I'm dirt poor because of what I said? Well, it seems even the gods can't see how greedy I am. They must have thought I had some financial problems. But that doesn't mean they have to stop donating, I too need to eat as well, oh please gods shower me with tokens!!!'

After he runs the remaining monsters inside his trap he quickly runs back to avoid the roaming monsters. His decision was made after finding out the durability of the iron cage which wouldn't budge no matter what he did. He tried burning it with his flames, bending it with the use of rocks, and when he was about to rage he thought to himself

'I forgot that I'm in a colosseum where players fight monsters for an easy earning of tokens. The security would have to be this tough if they wanted to keep dozens of man-eating monsters. Guess I'll have to walk back, fuck I already hate this mission, but you know the saying no pain no gain,'

He made his way back to the scene where he found the person responsible for this ordeal. The gas that had been released hadn't evaporated making him have a sniff of it, nothing happened to his body. But as he stayed longer in the room feeling a little light-headed unable to resist the gas he took a step back. Upon the confirmation from his deity, the effects of the mysterious gas were confirmed

[Morris let go of that person!!!]

His deity warned him but even with his speed his left arm suffered a deep cut, making him lose his balance. The unconscious person he was holding fell to the ground and began to slowly stand up to its feet. Amidst the gas slowly weakening Christoper he heads the words of his deity and retreats to a safe distance

"What the hell is this?" He healed his arm before he looked at the gas slowly wrapping itself around his attacker

[It's a Monster Evo gas, an item made from Alchemical arts and Divine power. It weakens humans while it powers up Monsters in exchange. There's a small chance they might evolve and what's worst this thing works on a beast]

He sees the person growing bigger and bigger as the robes that were once covering its body got torn apart. It revealed a hairy figure, a long pair of arms double the size of its body, razor-sharp fangs, and lastly, a tail that covered half of the room. The identity of the attack was a beast, in its transformation it stared at its injured prey, raising its arm as high as it could

"Holy shit!" it smashes the ground and m some rubble flew into the air blinding the beast from its own doing

[Morris, run! Take this opportunity to escape. That freak is far beyond your capability. You'll die!!!]

'It wasn't a human, to begin with? It was a beast, why the hell is it here? I only introduced it in a later part of my book. The possibility isn't zero yet the chances of one appearing here are too low. Did I stumble upon another story that my book never contained? A scenario that wasn't written by me?'

After his successful escape, he got cornered as some of the missing monsters he never faced arrived at his location. Some of them even embodied a name signifying their strength one by one the monsters charged. It left him with no opening to attack, from all of his sides he decided to go all out with his spells

"You want a piece of me that bad?" He cast both Shock and Ignite causing an explosion

The recoil damages his left arm and upon recovering from the attack he inflicted and he stores his staff and draws his daggers "Bring it on you fuckers!"

[System: You've fed your blood to the [Sacrificial Dagger] you've temporarily gained the right to use Dagger arts

Status: Haste has been activated your speed will now be increased by 50%

Outcome: Due to the arrival of Dagger arts both your posture and fighting style have been greatly influenced!]

'A thornopus that has the name Grappler, a troll that has the name Defender lastly a watcher that has the named Commander. This isn't even fair, it's either these guys or that big one. Both options are terrible yet, I've already made my choice,'

He charges through the monsters without a second to worry. The monsters quickly changed their formation as they heard the growl of the Commander. The Defender became the vanguard stopping Morris, while spiky tentacles came out near the Defender. It made him realize that the Grappler was near. Without any hesitation, he ran towards it even knowing the effects of its name

"One wrong move and I'm caught,"

He was surrounded by tentacles that latched onto his body. The spikes were about to rip his flesh apart but it was interrupted by a growl coming from the defender's back. It became louder and louder as the tentacles that aimed for Morris were burned. Leaving the other ones unguarded by his attacks were then impaled by a pointy rock that came from below. He shot out a volt of electricity paralyzing the Defender

"You should've become more offensive or else I shouldn't be standing here,"

He cuts down as many of the nameless monsters and tears through their numbers without a hitch. Due to their immobilized tank, he took the chance and butchered their only means of defending. Slaughtering their meat shield, he charged through the two remaining named monsters with his mana that was recovering from his breathing

"You two are the only ones left," Without a wall to keep him from charging forth he slaughtered off what remained of this band of freaks

[System: You've killed a monster the collected experience will now be given to the player]

"That's all of them, I've killed all of those monsters why does this mission say ongoing," He heard a powerful howl that came from the place where lies the location of the mutated beast

[The one who sees catastrophe explain yourself? Why isn't this mission over? Didn't you say it's only a "Monster extermination" what the hell is this?]

'That thing wasn't a monster it was a Beast a race different from humans, a being that's from another world. Apart from ours, why is that thing here? The system invitation hasn't traveled to the beast dimension, yet there's one beast here, something doesn't feel right I can sense it,'

[System: The one who sees catastrophe is confused as well for some reason the Beast is seen as a monster]

"How is that even possible unless," Morris sees a guess deity speak out of nowhere

[The monk that dispell evil is sensing a familiar aura from the Beast~~~]

Before he could hear the last part the screams intensified making him unable to hear the last sentence of the deity. The beast appeared before him entering the closed tunnel and emerging from the ground. Its claws got longer and sharper compared to its previous form its body became bigger

"Bring it on jackass!!!" He takes a stance to fight the 5-meter beast

With a single swing of its hand, it shredded the stone located at Morris's back so that he could even land a dent. He used his small figure along with his flexible movement which was increased by his skill. Morris's stamina was getting depleted, he saw that the wounds he inflicted were healed

It placed him at a disadvantage with his low stamina, he parried only the deadliest attack that may be inflicted upon his body. Even though he survived the ongoing attack his body stopped when his chest was pierced by a tentacle. He wasn't sure if he became delusional when he killed that thing only to accept the fact that the beast was actually

[System: You've sensed the Aura of the mad alchemist]

"So you are possessed?" He sensed an aura from the beast that was the same as a deity after his death was confirmed

The tentacles that held his body high were retrieved, making his corpse fall to the ground. The beast leaves in search of the exit along with the army of monsters that rises from the dead. He never once had a chance his fate was sealed, even before he could do anything, is this the end of the author's story?

[He's gone. Do it now!]

[System: You've met the requirement to use the elixir the system will now be applied]

"That was a close one, a single drop of this can save me from dying, does this count as my plot armor?"

[Elixir - A miracle drug that can cure most of the deadliest illnesses while healing the person to full can also restore limbs

Special effect: Gives 10 unused stat points if the player is dying from an injury that wasn't self-inflicted]

[A close one indeed if they didn't leave a lot sooner you would've no choice but to activate it while they're here]

'One bottle of elixir can only bring me back 3 times even if I'm not as strong as the Mc I've procured my very own plot armor. I can only be resurrected 8 times. I can't waste my time if that beast is being possessed by a deity out of their own will then they can break this seal. That is if he applies enough divine power, let's check my stats I need to prepare myself,'
