"Stop…" I frown at him as I try to figure out what exactly he's doing. "What are you trying to do? Kill us all slowly, so you can take over from me?"
I won't put it past the dark souls to do exactly that. After all, they're the rogue pack that leaves no mercy for their culprits. Wolves who're as merciless as the black god who's always against the goddess of creation.
"Who said anything about taking over from you? There's nothing like taking over from you, my dear. " His hand trailed down my exposed neck.
Looking at him, I tried not to show any emotions.
"You're going to submit to me, and you'll do that willingly. I want your surrender to be one done willingly, and nothing else."
I laugh at his words, "you want me to submit, and willingly at that?"
"That's what I said." Flicking his fingers, he turned to the other wolves, who obediently brought the old Alpha Forward.
"Alpha!" I gasp.
But the Alpha I called out didn't open his eyes at all. He had it tightly closed as if someone instructed him to do so, but I know it's likely to be caused by the bane the rogues are with, and that left me to wonder why The bane did not affect me.
I'm quite aware the rogues next to me all have the bane, and that's why I can't for the life of me tell how possible it is my pack members got modified by the bane, but nothing happened to me.
"Your precious partner here," He darkly frowned as he pointed at an unconscious Kel, and your precious Alpha will be killed if you don't do as I asked.
"And what did you ask for?"
"Surrender to me, and your pack will be kept alive."
"And if I don't?" I look straight into his unusual purple eyes.
Had it been under a different circumstance, I would have admired his eyes, but in a circumstance like this, there's nothing like admiration.
There's nothing admirable in it.
"I'll have to start to kill your pack members," he brings his face closer to mine, "one by one."
I swallow at both his proximity and his words.
No one have being this close to me aside from Kel, and that can be justified since he's my best friend.
"And you think I'll surrender to you?" I scoff.
"Of course, you will be my darling. There's no way you'll allow your people to suffer when you have a solution to their problem."
"And the solution is to surrender?"
" Yeah. It is. " Straightening a bit, he thought to make use of the height difference to intimidate me, but I stood my ground.
In truth, should we fight now, he's likely going to defeat me based on the fact my pack member's anguish is killing me.
But that doesn't mean I am going to allow him to talk trash.
"I'll never surrender to you!" I growl in anger.
What an insult it is to my Alpha status. Not only is someone asking me to submit to him, but a rogue asked for it.
"I see. You care about your pride more than the life of your pack, and you call yourself an Alpha?" He tsked.
"Of course, I am an Alpha!" I growl.
"An Alpha who cares more about his pride than the life of his pack?" He shook his head," You're not an Alpha if you're not willing to sacrifice."
"And what for? Should I sacrifice my title for my pack, what does that make me?
What will I be?" Aside from being an Alpha, there's nothing else I know I can be. From my infancy, I've been trained to be an Alpha.
" You'll serve me." He smirked, his purple eyes getting bright.
"Serve you?" I spat. "To hell will I serve you."?
Serving a rogue is the worst sort of punishment and embarrassment an Alpha can be put through. It's a form of disgrace.
" Then…." He smirked brightly," you're going to stand there, and watch your pack members getting killed?
And here I thought you're the best Alpha in the entire continent." He mocked.
" Of course, am the best Alpha!"
" But you won't sacrifice your pride for your pack?" Smiling evilly, he turned to his wolves, "it's time to show them what us Rogue wolves are capable of doing. It's time to put our name into motion."
At his words, the wolf who has his foot on Kel's back pressed down on him.
Kel groans in pain.
"Stop, you're hurting him!" Growling in anger, I felt my eyes changing colours. My wolf trying to make an appearance despite the tiredness it feels. "I'll do what you want, but don't hurt him."
Kel is as fragile as he is when he hasn't passed through anything traumatic, to talk more of when something traumatic happens.
"What? You're concerned about this male more than the others?" He growled in anger, "You're willing to give up your station for his sake, and not for your pack?"
" Kel is more than just a pack member. And for your information, I'm willing to give up my station for my pack. After all, an Alpha isn't an Alpha without his pack.
My pack is what makes me. Without my pack, I'm not an Alpha."
" But he's the reason you want to give up your station."
" He's one of the reasons."
Had it not been for the weakness of my wolf, I wouldn't have had any cause to surrender to him. I would have fought things out.
"I see." The rogue Alpha gives Kel a look, one that seems as if he's planning on ways to throw the poor male down the ditch. "He's your sole reason for doing this."
"Just so we're on the same track, I'll give my pack over to you. You can take them as your new pack, except if you're willing to make me your Beta."
I might not be trained to be a Beta, but it's far better than being nothing.
