Don't blame me, but I think good things are better admired when they are displayed.
"Hi." I smile at them, and that seemed to startle them.
"Hi." The one I like his eyes the most smiled at me.
"I'm Mek."
"I'm Ramsi, these two are Rista and Melinona. But you can call us, Ray, Star, and Mel."
"Wow, I love your names already." I smile at them, "so, let's get to work."
Working with the three males gave me the best experiences so far. There was not a moment of boredom with them. They expertly chased all the boredom away, and in its place, they left Fun.
Kel might think he's a fun-loving wolf, but his method of fun is nothing compared to the one I feel right now with this three.
This is beyond having fun. I'm speechless!
I totally forgot about the Alpha as I worked with them. My mind was sorely focused on the three of them as they joked and laughed.
"Aren't you sweating in that thing?" Ray points at my shirt.
"Of course, I am. I just want to remain decent in the presence of the girls." I motion toward the girls, who are pretending not to look at us. But I can tell they are. Their heightened breath tells it all.
"You care about those girls? Come on, you are making them salivate more as they watch how your shirt clung to your body as if it's asking to be saved." Star points at my shirt, "don't you think it's only fitting you join us?"
" It makes us feel inferior with you putting on that shirt." Mel frowned, "come on, remove the shirt, and join us."
I stood there indecisively and would have refused to remove my shirt had it not been for the eyes of the Rogue Alpha on me.
Two can play this game.
I smirk.
Removing the shirt, I throw it to the floor and turned to them with a grin.
"I'm one of you now, aren't I?"
"Of course, you are." Ray lightly nudged my side.
" That's what we call, partnership." Star winked at me.
" Let's —"
My words got stuck in my throat when I felt him take my hand in his.
" Gentlemen, I think I'm going to take him from you." He smirked at them.
" What are you doing?" I tried to remove my hand from his, but he held on tightly.
" Of course," they bowed at one.
Traitors!
I glare at them. But I know it's not their fault. An Alpha has this kind of effect on his pack members.
They might not be real werewolves, but they all share the bond with the pack
"Let's go." The rogue tugged me towards our — house. He didn't slow down at all.
"Let me go!" I tried to remove his hand, but he didn't budge at all.
I can feel the eyes of his pack members on us, but I'm not concerned about that right now. All I want is for him to let go of me.
He dragged me into the house and had me backed up at the door.
He placed both hands on either side of me as he leaned closer.
"I'm an Alpha, you dare —"
He cut my words off by kissing me.
What?
My eyes widened in disbelief.
He kissed me!
Momentarily stunned, it took me longer to process what was happening.
With all my strength, I pushed him off me and wiped my mouth with the back of my palm.
"How dare you!" I growled in anger.
"I wanted to —"
"And kissing me will solve the entire problem? It's what you want?" I narrow my eyes to slit.
For a long time now, I've not been as angry as I am now. It felt as if he tugged on a heart string he's not supposed to touch.
"I wasn't happily watching you with them!" He flayed his hands.
"And what's that to you? You ignore me for a reason best known to you. And now, you kissed me? For what reason?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what? What are you sorry for? The kiss, leaving me without an explanation, or talking to the female, and acting as if j don't exist?"
"For all, except the kiss."
His words caused my heart to skip a beat. I felt as if my heart is about to lurch out. The feeling is unfamiliar, but it's not uncomfortable.
I scoff at his words, "and you think I'll believe you?"
"I'm sorry."
"Rogues are not to be trusted. After all, you are just dogs." Giving him a look, I walk out.
Dogs?
I resisted the urge to tug my hair in frustration.
Out of all the words and comparisons I would have made use of, I thought of dogs?
Calling a werewolf a dog is the worst insult.
Maybe I was looking for the word that will hurt him deeply. I wanted him to feel what I felt when he left me.
But he didn't call you a dog.
I don't care!
Nevertheless, I know, I do.
I look back at the house to check if I Will see him, but he's nowhere to be found.
It's either he went back to his room, or he's still standing where I left him. Nonetheless, whatever it is, as might be, I don't care.
Oh yes, you do.
"What's wrong? What did the leader do?"
"It's nothing." I smile at them, "he was asking about stuff relating to my pack."
"Oh," they nod. But I can tell they don't believe my words. It's in their eyes.
"Let's start from where we stopped?"
The other pack members who are intently looking at me as if I've somehow grown another pair of heads without my knowledge returned to their previous task.
"Bring it on."
The rogue didn't make an appearance until I retired back to the house, bone-tired, and ready to crash on the sofa.
"You —"
I widen my eyes in disbelief when I saw the rogue still standing in the same position I left him.
