Chapter 337 - Chapter 326 | This Is It~

"And that is a wrap for the day," Ian said to everyone as the cast was happy about what just came out of the director's mouth.

"Ian, have you decided on the schedule for the next month?" Joseph questioned.

Ian frowned. "Why? Yes. Didn't Murphy send it? I believe that it should be in your inbox," he said.

Joseph looked confused as he reached for his phone and checked what Ian said. The sudden realisation made it obvious that Ian was right.

"Oh yes, my bad. Anyway, I had some details to discuss," Joseph initiated the conversation.

Ian who sat back on his director's chair nodded allowing him to speak. Joseph took out the script and turned to the page where he had highlighted what he had to discuss.

"So, for this scene where Michael confronts Carlo, I was thinking of emphasising the tension by using close-up shots and slow camera movements. What do you think?"

"I like that idea, Joseph. I had a similar execution idea. It will surely heighten the dramatic intensity and allow the audience to feel the weight of the moment. I was also considering incorporating some low-angle shots to convey Michael's dominance and power."

Joseph nodded, understanding his perspective of Ian clearly. He looked at the scene once again.

"That could work well, especially when he delivers that iconic line, "Don't ever take sides against the family." We need to make sure it's delivered with the right intensity and conviction."

"Yep, there is no doubt that Michael will give the perfect execution. We should work closely with the actors to ensure they capture the essence of their characters and bring out the emotional depth in their performances. And since it's a movie like The Godfather, the depth is heavy as the setting is very vintage," Ian said and took a sip from his water.

"Yeah…"Joseph sighed. "I can't believe we're able to pull something crucial. In my years of experience in the industry, this is the first time that I'm even attempting such a thing."

Ian nodded.

"I feel honoured working with you. And honestly, Joseph, you've been such a wonderful help around Set. You know how to work with the actors, and make them portray the complex relationships and internal struggles." He said and he realised how important this project was for him.

And as he chose the director he needed to work with, he hadn't expected Joseph to be this much of a help. But, Joseph exceeded Ian's expectations.

The praise Ian gave was well-deserved.

"Ahaha… Please, don't mention it. I should say how much I enjoy working around here."

Ian smiled at his statement.

"I should head back and take some rest," Ian stood up, still holding the bottle in his hand.

His eyes roamed around the set as he saw everyone preparing to head back.

"Ah, Ian. I watched Kiara last night. With the heat of work, I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed watching the movie with my wife…" Joseph said with a pleasant smile on his wrinkly face.

That brought a warm feeling to his heart.

To be appreciated by fans was one thing, and to be appreciated by another director was something else.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," Ian said with a hint of pride in his voice.

"Yes, of course, I did. I thought your acting was very well experienced. And little I got to know that that was the first ever movie you've acted in."

"Yeah, but I had experience training. And the director who worked with me, Mr Crutchfield, helped me a lot. So did the actors-"

"It was a really good role. Ian, in the future I believe maybe we can join together to do a movie?" Joseph requested.

Joseph's choice of words made it appear as if he was taking the chance on the spot. He saw and recognized how well the movie was doing, a prominent reason that Ian acted in it.

With something that big in front of him, he wasted no time to grab it.

"Haha… Of course, in the future, sure."

Ian replied with another smile.

"We're going to shut the set! Let's all walk outside!" The voice of the management was heard loud and clear.

Ian waved his hand to the man who yelled and started collecting his belongings to walk out.

[Actus Books]

"How well do you think this would look in books?" The cover designer questioned Steven as he took a glance at what was in front of him.

The cover looked phenomenal to suit the theme and the setting of Game of Thrones.

"I'm sure Ian will love it."

The cover designer nodded and looked at his watch. "Well then, you can show those samples. And with each new set of publications, we can moderate it. So, I should get going," he said and stood up with his laptop in hand.

Steven looked at the watch and looked back at him.

"If you can stay, Ian will be here in five minutes."

"Oh, is that?"

"Yeah, just wait a few seconds," Steven said.

In less than three minutes, Ian walked in. He was dressed in his usual suit.

As he took a seat, he saw the designs that were in front of him. Ian's smile brightened as he extended his hand.

"Can I?" he questioned.

"Oh please," Steven allowed.

"Mr. Owens. You've outdone yourself with this," Ian said as soon as his eyes lingered between the arts.

"Oh not really, Mr. Renner. I'm always open to suggestions, so please. And on the next page, you'll see more. I just gave the background more settings. Because, no matter what people say, it is one's first intuition to judge the book by its cover," Terry Owens, the designer at Actus Books said with a smile.

"I love these," Ian said and flipped to another page. Although he was presented with only two pages, he went ahead and flipped to the last page of the binder.

"Oh that's not-"

"This is it," Ian said as he saw the incomplete art. "Mr. Owens."

"Yeah?"

"Please, complete this art," Ian requested as he saw the design he thought would fit the book very well.
