Chapter 197 - Chapter 192 | Suspicious

"...Yes, it's true that the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off finally hit the top 5 movies at the box office considering the rage for its variety and story concept. The filming and the technical side were top-notch according to several critics, and not to mention, this movie is a personal favorite of mine.

"Today, we have the director, Raelynn Sawyer with us, wanting to talk about the movie she directed for the first time in her life, which also became a blockbuster—and that is a wonder considering she was a cinematographer and had worked for the Goofy in the past.

"Ms. Raelynn, how are you?"

The lady who had dark crimson lipstick on her, and blonde hair asked while looking at Raelynn who had a smile plastered on her face.

"After everything you said, I think I'm fine. Thank you for asking," she replied.

"Yes, so we'd like to ask one of the most asked questions in our poll that we gave our audience to answer. How was it working as a director for Renner Studios? Mr. Ian Renner started there and is in a great place as for now, and people all over the world are really curious about how it is going…"

The lady who was talking asked with a smile that gave Raelynn shivers on her spine.

"Well, for starters… In the beginning, I found it extremely hard to get things done, I didn't know where to begin.. But then, with a little help, guess what I found?" Raelynn asked with a smile that reached her ears, but more lady-likely.

The host gave a questioning look.

"Well, I think I found my passion. Working with cameras, angles, lighting, and everything has been great. But well, directing and having an amazing time leading a story and the storyline… I think it fits me more. So, I think everyone can expect some more movies from me."

The interview that was done by Night talk with Mia, later on, crossed 10M views in two days.

Niko and Raelynn who were looking at the screen looked at each—then continued to keep watching the rest of the interview.

"Do you think I look fat? Because this is like the first interview as a director… And to think Ian brought another script for me… I'm nervous and excited," Rae said while looking Niko in the eyes.

He had a deadpan face.

"Do you think you look fat in that dress? Nuh uh, if anything you look more gorgeous than ever, heck. I'm pretty sure that the next thing people would demand is for to you join acting and all,"

"Yeah as if I'd do that. You know what I love most about making movies?" Raelynn asked looking at Niko.

"I don't. What is it?"

"The final product and the process. Like, you know, once we put all the things together and we get what exactly we expected… That's what I truly aim for. And the process is sometimes unbelievable. By the end of the day, when I look back at what we've done, the feeling is truly unexplainable," Rae said while her eyes masked with positive energy.

The cameraman smiled at her words and at how true they are. And that was something, not just Raelynn but everyone who helps to create the content can relate to.

The casting process for The Fast and Furious were done and dusted, but still, Ian had something in his mind which still bothered him for so long.

"What is it, Ian?" Mason asked looking at Ian's worried face.

Ian knew that no matter which new actor faced the characters in Fast and Furious, it wouldn't be the same. It was almost as if how in his original world that Iron man wouldn't be Iron man without Tony Stark.

"Something is bothering me, uncle."

"Yeah, I can say that. What's up?" Mason asked and put the pile of papers that he was busy with previously.

"Give me 24 hours, if I couldn't come up with something, I'll ask for help," he said and stood up to walk out of the office so that he could find out if the original actors existed in this world.

'Not like all of them would be in the acting career which makes things even worse to even think of!' he groaned and walked to his laptop.

The next thing he knew was searching for the names Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.

[...] Hours after hours, he was on the verge to give up.

Millie Walker

San Re Walker… [25 more]

The knock on the door distracted him, and Murphy entered with the morning coffee.

"Thanks,"

"What are you searching for so much? Like sir, you've been inside the office for three hours now. Why do I have a feeling that you're searching for something for hours?" Murphy asked and sat in front of him.

"Well, I'm actually. I want to find out if there are actors by the names I've in mind-"

Hearing Ian's words, Murphy frowned.

"Where did you hear them?" he asked back.

"Uncle Mason… He was the one who asked for the names. Anyway, you wanna help?" Ian asked without letting him think no more.

If someone is advised to check for names, it does mean that they literally exist—that's common sense. But at this moment, not even Ian knows if the names still exist.

"I'll take a walk around the office—be right back," He said and walked out of the office while Murphy nodded and got back to what he was doing.

-

"No, I don't think this is enough. We need to find out more things about how Ian works… Uh, should we set up cameras? That's kind of the last thing that boss said to do… Man!"

"We're kind of stuck here, I think,"

Two men talked beside the photocopy machine while everyone else was doing their own thing.

"I can't pretend anymore, it's better if we get what they need. After that, we could be in our ways. This is the only source of income for me, so for heaven's sake I somehow need an out!" the taller one replied while his forehead was covered with sweat, although the AC was trying its level best to keep the temperature down.

"The money we'd get is sufficient for two months at most… So, whatever. Try to get any dirt," the shorter man replied looking left and right.

They turned to look at everyone else. They were in the same position, financial department… Working with papers, numbers, money, credits, debits, and everything else along with them. But after the little proposal they got from a small media company, they'd started to find anything that could make news for Ian Renner, but yet they had found nothing but box office numbers.

They both sighed one after another and walked back to their desks.

"Jeremy, have you completed the reports I asked for?"

The manager of taller guy walked inside and asked loud enough for everyone to hear. Jeremy was speechless for how angry the old man is. It was a first for everyone.

"No sir, they'll be prepared by tomorrow morning."

Jeremy's words made the old man walk back to his office. Everyone turned to look at Jeremy who said nothing but shrugged equally confused.

"Don't worry, he must be having a hard time, with the divorce and all…"

[Ian Renner's Office]

"Sir, I found! I found someone named Paul W. F. Walker-"

Ian who heard the words coming out of Murphy, almost jump out of their seat to see if it was the person he expected.

Ever since he had transmigrated to this world, along the way there were so many people—actors and actresses that he had come across.

Almost all of them grabbed the opportunity named Ian and crossed the bridge to the high ends of their career. From Scarlett to Raelynn, and then Carrie to Mark, there were many of them.

It was natural for someone like Ian to wonder what it would be like to find other people as well. It's a small world anyway.

He took a peek at who the person was and immediately smiled. Paul Walker. Nice.

"From the look on your face, I could easily tell that sir, I found the man you were looking for?"

Murphy shrugged and pushed the tablet that he kept searching on. Ian grabbed it and went along with the information as soon as he could.

Paul Walker in Ian's previous world was someone who got famous exclusively for his role as Brian O' Conner in the Fast and Furious Franchise. Unfortunately, he died in 2013. Although there were some unsuccessful movies he took part in, Fast and Furious changed his life entirely.

Ian who kept swiping his pictures was taken back by all the flashbacks of his smile and acting that came to his mind.

He was a B-listed actor which made things pretty good for Ian. Because actors at that point of their career are looking for the last foot in it to get their big break—and for Paul, this could be the perfect opportunity.
