"Wait!" Alex stopped all of them from leaving when Cedric sighed. His eyes softened for the man who shared the face of his sister.
"We know you have not done it, Alex. do not feel the pressure. We understand." Everyone's gaze passed to Alex as if they were looking at the man in a new light.
Cedric was telling them to never accept that Alex had done it but it would not change the truth. It was not understanding but hiding a crime and it would make them criminal too.
They felt a strange burning in their chest but they still nodded reluctantly.
"I have not killed him. When I reached his room, he was already dead." Alex announced with furrowed brows.
He finally understood what Cedric was trying to achieve. The servants would feel that Cedric was helping them. While in reality he was sowing seeds of distrust and making everyone believe that it was Alex who killed his father and now they all were trying to save him.
