"Wait! I can not go with all of you. I have a home to return to.." she panicked as she did not know for how long she was able to hide her identity. What if the wig fell and they would find it was that same brat who had troubled them so many times.
How bizarre it was that she was a woman.. Yet she was afraid that they would find out she was acting like a woman.
"But you told me that you are not from this empire and you are looking for an inn yesterday.'' Alex could see the fear and hesitation in her eyes and misunderstood that she was still taking them as bad persons.
"I know that you are new and this place is not safe for a single girl like you. We found a few more girls yesterday and it would be better for you if you stay with them for a few days until we catch everyone related to this.`` His words were like a verdict. It has certain authority that expects complete obedience.
Even she, who was habitual of behaving unruly, was not able to refuse him again.
"Ethan, come with me, we are going to attend the auction. There might be a chance that they have hid other girls anywhere else." Ethan, who was still staring at the girl with a frown on her face, tilted his head and nodded but his eyes kept falling on the woman again.
He was sure he had seen her. The face looked too familiar to her but he could not remember where and as his master said, the woman was new to the town. Then how?
His frown only deepened with his thoughts when Olivia tried to hide herself as she kept her face closer to her knees.
Alex, who was waiting for Ethan to follow him, noticed how Ethan was looking at the girl intensely who was at unease.
"Ethan! Stop scaring the girl and come." Ethan jumped on his place when he heard the low growl of his master. It was a warning that he was going to get punished again.
He nodded his head and ran out of the door without waiting for his master when Tavern frowned but did not say a word.
"Take her and wait in the nearest inn. We will be there soon." the man nodded and Alex walked out of the room and disappeared in the hall.
"We shall leave too. The place is not safe." she nodded as Tavern held the door for her.
Picking herself up from the ground, Olivia felt her dreams crumbling. She could have killed so many. She could have closed their business forever but now she had to behave like a frail girl who was a victim of molestation and kidnapping.
Not to forget that Ophelia would be worried about her with so many girls to take care of. They walked out of the same path which Olivia had already cleared so she was not worried about the sudden guards.
She was more worried about the girl who was left behind in that prostitute house. She had promised that she would go and save her.
Her eyes were already scanning the area as her mind started to think of the ideas. The simplest one was to beat him and run away but he was a good man who was trying to save her.
She did not want to hurt a good person and she was sure if she would beat him, Alex would find her even if she would hide in hell and then punish her. He would haunt her for ages.
What if he found that she was the man he hated, he would link everything and would announce her as a criminal.
She had never realized that she could fear a man until she felt that her hands were getting sweaty.
"You do not need to be scared." She felt his gruff voice without any emotions and wondered if he even knew how to coax a girl.
Wait! He is too stiff. A smirk formed on her face when she finally found her way out of the situation.
"I.. I am feeling drowsy. I want to rest a bit if this is possible. I have stayed alert all night thinking that laughing men would come to me and do something.. I.. I feel my body is too heavy and I could not hold it for long." tears started to come out of her eyes as if she was still tormented by the memories of last night.
Her trembling voice and the tears in her eyes made him awkward. He did not know how to handle a woman. Ethan should be left here, while he should have gone with the master.
What trouble. He nodded as they continued to walk. Instead of taking her far away, he looked around and found a small inn nearby.
The master had said to take her to the inn anyway. What difference would it make if he would wait in the restaurant while she would take a rest in a room.
"Yes, try to walk till that inn. I will hire a room for you there." he pointed at the inn when a sly smile formed on her lips and she nodded. All she wanted was to have a room in there and make sure that he would not follow her in the room.
They both walked towards the inn while she gave a last look to the tower.
'It did not mean that I would not come back. I would make sure that each of you would die a miserable death from my hands so that even your generation would not dare to touch a woman!'
