"Why? I am careful enough to walk properly. You do not have to worry about me. Or I would think that I am special to you." she winked as she tried to leave but the horse harrumphed at the very moment and raised his front legs high in the air making her fall on his chest again.
Due to the big height difference, his face crashed onto his chest and his lips kissed his taut muscles.
"thud!" she heard the strong sound of earth shaking as if there was an earthquake and frowned.
She looked behind the giant she was sitting with only to see two of his knights had fallen on the ground while still staring at them with ashen faces as if a grim reaper was sitting there instead of them.
What had just happened? That was just an accident alright. Could they be any less dramatic?
She was about to apologise to him when she saw the dark clouds forming over his head. He looked no less than a grim reaper and now she understood why they were so scared.
"This.. It was the mistake of the horse. Though I like handsome men like you, I never take liberties without permission when I have someone waiting for me in the house." she explained using Ophelia as her cover since the man has seen her and taken her as Olivia's wife.
But the anger in his eyes only increased when he heard her so.
"If you want to live, you should learn to get a hold of yourself or you are soon going to die!" that again? Did he not have anything else to say except giving the same threat.
No matter how scary did he look, if he would not treat her properly she was not going to be scared.
"That line is pretty boring, sir knight. You need to work on it. If you will give me a few gold coins, I could help you with it." she muttered, smiling like a cheshire cat, showing all her teeth making everyone around her stunned.
They have thought that their masters hands would already be on her neck since she was testing her limits so much. But to their surprise he said nothing but continued to stare at her.
Could it be that he was checking which part should he attack that the murder look like a natural death.
Even Olivia was staring back at the man who was lost in his thoughts with confusion.
She had thought that the fight was inevitable and her hands had already reached the set of her daggers but the man was only passing her a long bone chilling stare.
Could it be that he was all bark but not bite. With that thought, she shook her head. This tough man had even tricked her with that strong body and a bunch of knights following him.
But it was good, she did not want to create trouble when Ophelia was this scared with even opening the door. Even last night she was holding her hands and shouting as if she was still trapped in that fire.
"Kick!"
"Damn! You did it purposefully so that I would let my guard down.`` Just when her face softened thinking about her sister and she was about to jump from the horse and leave, the vicious man held her like an empty sack and kicked her from the horse.
"What if I have injured my pretty face? Do you know how many men and women would be disheartened then?" she shouted in an aggrieved voice as she saw a few scratches on her hand and knees. Through blood oozed instantly, it was not anything serious. Yet she looked at him with a face as if he had killed her already.
"Didn't you say that you have a wife waiting for you at home?" he raised a brow as he asked in a cold voice that was making everything frozen around him.
"What does it have to do with others liking my face?"
"......." the man turned silent but the frost around him only increased.
Everyone had scuked breath as they tried to be invisible but if the young boy did not stop blabbering nonsense, the knights were afraid that their master would lose their cool and kill him then and there.
Then what would happen of his heroic image. No matter how impudent this young man was, they could not ignore the fact that he only did that to save a child that could have died due to them.
They were sure that Alex was only bearing because of this point or he had already used his sword to slash this fool into two pieces.
"Enough of this. Now leave or you will get punishment!" The knight who had fallen from the horse came running and pushed him towards the crowd when she turned and pouted.
"Hey, how could you be this inconsiderate? I have lost my cake and pie for saving the child and saving you from doing a sin. Shouldn't you give me a reward before leaving?"
"...." this brat! Wasn't his spared life already the biggest reward?
