Chereads / Me Or You / Chapter 17 - Chapter Seventeen

Chapter 17 - Chapter Seventeen

Around seven, Andy heard a knock on the front door. Alan grabbed his empty backpack from the door before he opened the door to see MayMay.

"Took you long enough." MayMay smiled as Alan closed the door behind him, walking down the sidewalk with MayMay next to him.

"I had to put my shoes on," Alan said, slightly offended. "How far is Kia's house anyway?" MayMay said they would walk from his house once she officially told him she knew where he lived. Alan thought it was weird until she explained that she only lived a few minutes down the street and sees him when she walks to school. After that, they both decided on Monday they would walk to school together.

"It's about a 30-minute walk, my dad offered to drive but since you live 5 minutes closer to him there was no point in wasting my dad's time." Alan had to admit it, MayMay was a speed walker. Her long strides almost threatened Alan's manhood as he tried to keep up with her.

"I don't think that was a waste, I would have loved a ride." Alan coughed out in desperation.

"I have a question," MayMay stopped as she furrowed her eyebrows before speed walking once more. "I know you're a foster kid and all." Alan's heart panged a bit as his mood swiftly dropped as she spoke. "And I know Charlie is fostering you. But it's only you, right?" Alan didn't understand fully but he nodded before she kept talking. "So, who is Pipe? You talk about him a lot, and if he was your brother, wouldn't Charlie be fostering both of you?" Alan almost laughed as his mood sored thinking of Pipe.

"He's like my brother, but he's not. Often we get fostered together a lot, and over the years we just adopted each other as family." Alan smiled as they turned into a corner neighborhood. "He's my best friend." Alan's voice cracked a bit before he cleared his throat, hoping MayMay didn't hear it.

"Why isn't he here?" MayMay asked like it wasn't obvious.

"Why would he?" Alan was confused about how her mind worked, yet intrigued all at the same time. "Who would want to foster two teen boys?" Alan laughed as he followed MayMay up unto a driveway of a very fancy house.

"I would." MayMay smiled as we approached the front door. "But then again, I plan to be rich as well." Alan laughed as MayMay smiled before she knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

Anthony was the one to open the door, but he wasn't sober. The door was flung open as Anthony retched his guts out in front of us before smiling at them as if he didn't just puke on their shoes.

"MayMay! Alan! Glad you could make it!" Kia smiled from behind Anthony as he moaned before vomiting right in front of them once more.

"I'm starting to regret coming." Alan joked as MayMay nodded. They both step over the vomit as Anthony walks into the front yard never to be seen again for the rest of the night. Max, on the other hand, was that could be seen. Once Alan and MayMay walked into the open living room full of drunk minors, their eyes were blessed with a nude Max, dancing on the table as he screamed at the top of his lungs. "Maybe we can back away slowly before anyone notices us, I think Kia will understand," Alan whispered to MayMay who was trying to shield her eyes from the exposed sight of Max. But it was too late, they had been spotted. Max glanced at them with a large smile and attacked Alan with a bear hug. Alan was mortified as he tried to push the drunken, nude, Max, away from him.

"Alan! I'm so glad you could make it! I was worried you would get lost in this sketchy neighborhood." He smiled as he danced away from Alan and back onto the table.

"I live in this neighborhood, Max." Alan was flustered as he looked down at the ground, not daring to look his friend in the eyes.

"Do you mind getting dressed?" MayMay begged. Most of the basketball team was spread around the room as they watched Max embarrass himself further. Some laughed while others went into the kitchen, opening to bleach their eyes.

"I am a free man, MayMay!" Max shouted.

"You're just a boy, the longer you are naked the more people will know." Everyone in the house laughed before someone began to blare the music until Alan could no longer remember how to have a thought. For a hot moment, MayMay and Alan just stood in the walkway of Kia's house, unsure of how to proceed. But after that hot minute passed, they realized the only thing they could do was have a party before someone called the cops.

Over two hours, Alan had avoided drinking because he promised MayMay he would be the sober one out of the two. And for two hours he watched as MayMay consumed beer like it was apple juice, beating all the drinking games there was.

"Great party." Alan looked at a skinny girl that leaned on the table next to him, a cup full of beer in her hand as she leaned closer to Alan. "You know what's better than a party?" She asked as she grabbed Alan's waist and pressed herself closer. "It's the people who make it the party." Alan didn't like where she was going with this as placed her head onto his neck, slowly sucking his skin like a baby with no teeth.

"Please, stop." Alan grabbed the drunk girl and pushed her away but she quickly recovered as she smacked her lips onto his and grabbed the side of his face as she forced her tongue into his mouth. It was an odd sensation, like a live slug trying to push past the teeth. Alan was horrified as he used his strength and pushed her violently away, she fell to the ground with a loud thud as she clawed at his leg.

"What the heck?!" She flipped her brown hair away from her as she stood, ready for round three. "If you keep pushing me, I will say you raped me." Alan took a step back, unsure of who this girl was and what was her problem.

"There are over 30 people that can say I was in the kitchen." Alan snapped out as the girl took a step back. "How dare you." Alan was yelling now, but the music was too loud to draw a lot of attention.

"What's going on?" Kia and Brendon had appeared from around the corner as the girl took a step back and paled, realizing she had made a mistake she couldn't take back. "Daisy, what did you do? Why are you here, you shouldn't be." Kia was angry as he stomped over to the girl before pausing. 'Were you drinking, Daisy?!" Kia grabbed the girl before pulling her along into the next room.

"For an 11-year-old, she's a handful." Brendon sighed as he leaned on the table. Alan almost choked on his soul and vomited his heart.

"She's 11!?" Alan almost cried out as sheer panic smacked him in the face.

"Yeah, why? What does she do?" Brendon questioned as he looked at the panicking boy.

"She said if I didn't let her kiss me, she would say I raped her!" Yelled Alan, he was pacing now. He realized Daisy didn't need to call rape, just the assaulted card. Alan was at that age where he looked like a grown man, who would believe a man over a young sweet innocent girl who didn't know better?

"Wow, dude." Brendon was shocked out, just as shocked as he was. "I'll tell Kia, he'll clear it up with his mom." Brendon patted Alan as comfort.

"Don't tell me- are they, siblings?" Alan wanted to dig a grave, get in and die. There was no way he would survive if Kia believed Daisy and not him.

"Don't worry, he will believe you over Daisy anyway." Brendon calmed Alan as he patted his friend, almost feeling bad that Alan was having a heart attack over an 11-year old causing extreme drama.

"I hate parties." Alan almost cried before Brendon smiled and walked away, leaving Alan to silently die in the kitchen alone.

"What happened?" MayMay slurred as she walked in with the help of Home, who didn't look too far off from needing help myself. "Why do you look miserable, al?" MayMay flopped to his chest before she wrapped her arms around him in a drunk hug. "Are you sad?" she mused as she squeezed him tighter.

"I'm not sad, no worries." Alan wasn't in fact, he was way happier now. MayMay was like serotonin for Alan whether she was drunk or not. "Do you want to go on a walk? Away from all the noise?" Alan looked down at the humming MayMay, aware that their walk would just lead them to her house, but she didn't need to know that.

"Sure, I would love a walk." She smiled. "Did you know I named my turtle Honey?" She randomly said, the walking topic completely.

"I did not." Alan smiled again.

"Well," MayMay yawned. "I named my turtle Honey."
