Tan Rou brought Kas back to the hotel. As they passed the window, she glanced up and indeed saw Agira. Agira stuck his head out to watch them, and after being spotted, quickly retracted it.
"Hurry back, I'll come to find you soon," Kas called out.
Tan Rou had been out in the sun for too long and really didn't want to bask any longer. She wanted to go back quickly to enjoy the air conditioning, so she walked briskly. Kas didn't complain and just trailed behind her with his limp.
After returning to the hotel, the intense heat subsided somewhat, but the cooling effect of the hotel's air conditioning was just average, and it wasn't long before the coolness faded.
When the hotel staff saw Kas, they greeted him enthusiastically, "Kas, why have you come over so early today? Hey, what happened to your leg, are you injured?"
"I took a bit of a tumble," Kas replied.
