Tan Jing finally reached the classroom, but the bell had already rung. The teacher on duty was already sitting on the podium. If Tan Jing wanted to enter, she had to report herself. Once she does that, she would attract the attention of the entire class.
Tan Jing braced herself and shouted, "Report."
The teacher on duty didn't argue with her about being late because of her leg injury. However, he reminded Tan Jing, "Tan Jing, since your leg is injured, you should come to school earlier. It's fine if you came in earlier but if you're late for class, aren't you wasting everyone's time?"
Tan Jing lowered her head and dug her nails into her palms. She whispered, "Sir. I'll come earlier next time."
