After Tan Rou finished the King's health check, she went back to sleep. She hadn't slept well last night and needed to catch up on her sleep tonight; she didn't want to work with dark circles under her eyes all the time.
Samiyi hadn't come back all night. It was unclear whether she had been dealing with official duties all night or if it had simply gotten too late, so she stayed to sleep there.
The next morning's breakfast was still eaten alone by Tan Rou, but Samiyi had thoughtfully prepared rice porridge for her, which was very fragrant and thick. Tan Rou was so pleased that she had an extra bowl.
"Has the princess not come back yet?" Tan Rou thought she would ask about Samiyi.
