But Don, who was still lying down with his hands and feet not fully grown, had a hard time remembering that fact.
In his head right now there was only pain from the previous battle. The pain wasn't just from the severed hands and feet. But because Don had been exposed to Divine power.
He was indeed only exposed for a few seconds. But for a Cambion, those few seconds were enough to make him feel excruciating pain. And the pain doesn't end quickly.
Thus, Don forgot the fact of how Lenna felt for Mr. Brekker.
On the other hand, Lloyd was trying to crawl across the floor toward his bed. Now and then, Lloyd would still hold his aching neck.
Lenna tries to figure things out on her own. She couldn't count on Lloyd let alone Don to come up with a plan.
