Rainn and Avois seemed to be risking everything in their last attempt. Magic energy in Avois's body was starting to run out. He could clearly feel it affecting him.
His body weakened and his movements became slower and slower. Rainn was of course aware of all that. But he didn't have time to ask Avois because he was busy holding off Cassius' attack in front of him.
Cassius swung his staff. This time the ruby on the tip of the staff gave off a light that instantly changed shape into a sickle.
Rainn had to dodge the one-meter-long scythe if he was to survive.
"Back off!" Rainn shouted at Avois.
Avois clearly can't keep up with that speed. If he continued in the fight then there was a high chance that Avois would be fatally injured.
Avois understood Rainn's words. When he got the timing right Avois immediately jumped back.
He gasped and fell to his knees when he had backed away and was some distance away from them.
